Profile of Ibrahim Alladin
M. Ibrahim Alladin is an international scholar in the social sciences and currently serves as a Visiting Professor in the Department of Sociology at Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), Hyderabad. He is also associated as an Adjunct Professor at Cape Breton University, Nova Scotia, Canada, and has previously been affiliated with the University of Alberta, Canada.
Prof. Alladin received his B.A. (Hons.) in Sociology with Professional Studies (1982) from the University of East London (then North East London Polytechnic), London, England. He later obtained a M.Ed. (1984) from the University of Alberta, Canada, and completed his Ph.D. (1988) at La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia. Earlier in his academic training, he also studied at Newark Technical College, England, and St Patrick’s College London, England, and earned a Certificate in Administrative Management (1982) in London. Throughout his academic career, Prof. Alladin has received several prestigious recognitions, including the Paul Harris Fellow, the Citizenship Citation Award from the Government of Canada, the Global Education Award from Altai State University, Russia, the Alex Taylor Public School Award on Multiculturalism, the Basic Education Award (India), the Community Award from the Edmonton Vietnamese Community, and the Award of Excellence from Hanson International Academy, Toronto.
His international academic experience and contributions to education, multiculturalism, and social research have enriched his engagement with universities and academic communities across different countries.
