MANUU extends best wishes to Indian contingent at Tokyo Olympics

Hyderabad: 

The Directorate of Physical Education and Sports (DPES), Maulana Azad National Urdu University today organized a program to cheer up the Indian Athletes for Tokyo Olympics as per the directives of the Ministry of Education, Department of Higher Education. 

The banner with a frame having the provision to take selfies is erected at the entrance of the campus. 

Prof. SM Rahmatullah, Vice Chancellor I/c while inaugurating the selfie spot extended best wishes to Indian Athletes and expressed the confidence that they will bring many medals and laurels for India. India is sending 228 members strong contingent which includes 119 athletes. Sports not only guarantees the health of the player but also give name & fame to the country at the national and international level. Relationships between countries get strengthen because of sports event and it also helps in promoting humanity at global level, he added.

On the occasion MANUU officials took their selfies in the frame.

Dr. A. Kaleemullah, Deputy Director-DPES welcomed the gathering and spoke about significance of this campaign. Prof. Alim Ashraf Jaisi, Dean Welfare, Students,  Dr. Viquar Unnisa, Provost, Girls Hostel, Mr. P Habibulla, Assistant Registrar, coaches and others  also attended the programme.
