Admissions in Skill Development Programmes at MANUU

Hyderabad:

Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) has introduced skill development programmes in Fashion Designing and Interior Designing from the academic year 2022-2023 in collaboration with SAMANA College of Design Studies, Hyderabad. The last date for online submission of application forms is December 10, 2022.

According to Prof. M. Vanaja, Director, Directorate of Admissions, candidates with 10+2 or equivalent are eligible for taking admission into full time programmes in Diploma and Advance Diploma in (Interior Designing & Fashion Designing) whereas the part time programmes in Certificate & Diploma in (Interior Designing & Fashion Designing) are available only for MANUU Students. Offline certificate verification and fee payment will be done from December 12 to 14 and classes will commence from December 16.

Sports Film Festivals begins in MANUU Film CHAK DE INDIA screened at opening ceremony

The students at Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) enjoyed and thrilled in the opening ceremony of sports film festival with the opening film CHAK DE INDIA screened on Monday evening.

Instructional Media Centre (IMC) of MANUU is organizing Sports Film Festivals in collaboration with Directorate of Film Festivals, Ministry of I&B, Govt of India from November 28 to December 04 under the banner of CINEMATHEQUE MANUU which is a university Film Club.

Padma Shri Mr. Mukesh Kumar, Indian field hockey veteran and Arjun Award winner graced the occasion and Prof Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice Chancellor, MANUU presided over the opening ceremony.

In presidential remarks, Prof. Ainul Hasan while sharing his association with sports and films appreciated IMC for bringing such event in academic sphere to enrich students. Students must enjoy the variety of art and cultural activities while core values of their culture remain intact, he opined.

Mr. Mukesh Kumar advised students to work hard and focus on their goal to achieve success. He also guided students about sport career and opportunities. Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed, Registrar also spoke on the occasion.

The Director, IMC & Convenor Festival, Mr. Rizwan Ahmad urged viewers to take this screening at large level. Film is basically text, and it is up to you that how an individual read to it. It is also part of education and learning. To inspire youngsters with great stories of sports persons and to create awareness about fitness, sports and films, the film festival was planned,  he added.

Films - Marry Kom, M.S. Dhoni, Duronto, Iqbal, Saand ki Aankh and Lagaan will be screened during a week long festival at 6:30 pm at open air theatre MANUU, said Mr. Mujahid Ali, Producer IMC and Co convenor festival.

Dr. Imtiyaz Alam, Research officer, IMC informed that many film festivals, film competition and film appreciation courses were organized under  university Film Club.

 

Refresher courses concludes at UGC-HRDC MANUU

Two week long Refresher courses in Comparative Literature and Multiculturalism concluded yesterday at the UGC-Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC) at Maulana Azad National Urdu University  (MANUU).

Addressing the occasion, Prof. Saneem Fatima, Director, UGC-HRDC  said, ‘Our purpose is better served when participants recognize our multiculturalism and when our cultural diversity is reflected not just in our popular culture, but also our educational institutions, where curricula can be designed to introduce young citizens to the qualities and benefits of cultural diversity’.

Altogether more than 70 participants from Assam, West Bengal, Bihar, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Maharashtra took part in the refresher courses to upgrade their teaching skills and to familiarize themselves with the advances made in their respective academic fields.

More than 50 sessions were held in both online and offline mode. Academicians from Jamia Milia Islamia, Delhi University, Aligarh Muslim University, University of Hyderabad, Osmania University conducted the lecture sessions.
