Re-opening of Portal for MANUU distance programme

 Hyderabad:

The Directorate of Distance Education (DDE), Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) has re-opened portal for registration in follow on courses of PG & UG (Semester mode 2020 batch and left out students of 2019 batch-semester mode) programmes.

 According to Prof. Mohd. Razaullah Khan, Director, DDE, fee payment portal is open for registration upto May 21, 2023.

Talk on ‘Radiation and Safety measures’ held at MANUU

 Hyderabad:

The School of Sciences (SoS), Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) organized an invited talk ‘Radiation and Safety measures’ for B.Voc students on May 10,2023.

Dr. Qazi S Azher, Associate Professor, Michigan State University, USA in his talk explained about different types of rays and their penetration levels. Talking about safety measures, he focused on how students should be cautious in their day to day life with different types of radiation while they are at jobs.  He also informed that the salary packages in the USA drawn by Allied Health professionals are more than the doctors.

Prof. Salman Ahmad Khan, Dean, School of Sciences delivered the welcome address. 

Prof. S. Maqbool Ahmed, Nodal Officer, B.Voc Programme gave details about MANUU Health Allied courses being run successfully and about placement of first batch students in the various corporate Hospitals of Hyderabad.

Prof  Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice Chancellor  has initiated M.Voc programme from this academic year in MANUU campus and admissions for M.Voc (Medical Imaging Technology and Medical  Technology) are available with an intake of 20 seats in each programme.

Guest Faculty of B.Voc Programme - Dr. Khaja Moin proposed vote of thanks whereas Dr.Kulsum Zahra convened the programme.

Large number of students and faculty participated in this Lecture.

 

 

‘Zero Shadow Day’ observed

 Hyderabad:

The Physics section of School of Sciences (SoS), Maulana azad National Urdu University (MANUU) and G-20 University connect programme committee of SoS organized a two Day programme to observe ‘Zero Shadow Day’.

A special lecture ‘Chasing the shadows’ by Prof. Syed Najamul Hasan, Department of Mathematics was delivered on May 08. He spoke about G-20 countries and gave introductory talk on the subject. Dr. Priya Hasan, Assistant Professor (Physics) gave detailed presentation on the Zero Shadow Day.

Prof P. K. Suresh, School of Physics, University of Hyderabad elaborated the relevance of astronomical observations for the society. Prof Salman Ahmad Khan, Dean, School of Sciences welcomed the gathering.

The Zero Shadow was observed on 9th May at 12:13 pm with activities to define true cardinal points: North, South, East and West.

Prof. Aleem Basha, Co-ordinator, Physical Sciences, Prof Shakeel Ahmad, SoS and Dr. Ira Khan, Chairperson, G-20 University connect programme committee of SOS and other committee members were present.

Dr. Rizwan Ul Haq Ansari, Assistant Professor (Physics) proposed vote of thanks.

The faculty members, students, non-teaching staff attended the programme.

 

 

 

Youth should use their power to promote National Unity - Prof. Siddiqui Mohd. Mahmood

 

 Hyderabad:

 

The youth of any country and nation is its main strength and India is rich in this strength. Our youth have immense potential and they should use their strength for the integrity, development and progress of the country and society. These views were expressed by Prof. Siddiqui Mohd Mahmood, Dean, School of Education and Training (SE&T), Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) while addressing the participants of the summer course of Henry Martyn Institute (HMI) who visited the department yesterday.

 

Speaking on behalf of the delegation from HMI, Dr. Victor Adwin and Dr. Multani praised the educational environment and University campus. They described the environment of the university as a good example of communal harmony.

 

The Head, Dept. of E&T, Prof. Mohd. Moshahid introduced the department and the school of education and training.

 

Dr. Athar Hussain and Dr. Tayyaba Nazli presented bouquets to the guests. Dr. Shamshad Begum delivered the welcome speech. Dr. Ehteshamuddin proposed the vote of thanks whereas Dr Saba Khatoon compered the program.
