Poster making competition held at MANUU
Hyderabad:
The Department of Education and Training, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) yesterday conducted poster making competition in connection with G20 University Connect Programme. Students of M.Ed, B.Ed and D.El.Ed courses participated in the competition. The theme was ‘One Earth, One Family, One Future’.
Sirwat Jahan (D.El.Ed 4th Sem.), Sadia Shabnam (D.El.Ed 4th Sem.) and Bushra Fatima (B.Ed 4the Sem.) won the first, second and third places respectively.
Prof. Siddiqui Mohd. Mahmood, Dean, School of Education and Training & Prof. Mohd Moshahid, Head of the Department graced the occasion.
Mr. P. Habibullah, Dr. Ismat Fathima, Miss. Nasrin Ahamad were also present. Dr. Ashwani, Dr. Sumi VS, Dr. Samad Thazhe Vadakkayil, Dr. Jarrar Ahamad, Dr. Pravini Pandagale were the organisers.

Teachers can develop interest in their students towards learning by adopting effective teaching strategies. Students can learn easily if taught through mother tongue. These views were expressed by Dr. Qazi Siraj Azhar, Associate Professor, Michigan State University, USA while addressing research scholars, trainee teachers and faculty of Department of Education and Training, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) yesterday. Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice Chancellor, MANUU presided over.
Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed, Registrar and Prof. Shugufta Shaheen, OSD-I were the guests of honour.
Dr. Qazi Siraj said that the biggest & foremost challenge for a teacher is to maintain the interest of students.
Prof. Ainul Hasan in his presidential address appealed all to play their role in the development of the University. The Vice-Chancellor also released the book "Role of co-curricular activities in personality development" written by Dr. Rubina on the occasion.
Prof. Siddiqui Mohd. Mahmood, Dean, School of Education and Training said that teaching is a noble profession but it has its own challenges.
Prof. Mohd Moshahid, Head of the Department delivered welcomed address.
Dr. Shamshad Begum introduced the guest speaker. Dr. Najma Begum proposed the vote of thanks whereas Dr. Farhath Ali compered the program.
