Independence Day Celebrations at MANUU

Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is organizing Independence Day Celebrations on 15th August, 2023 as part of Har Ghar Tiranga programme under “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”. Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor will hoist the National Flag in front of the Administrative Building, MANUU Campus at 9:30 a.m and will deliver the Independence Day message.
Students will present patriotic songs after flag hoisting.The ceremony will be webcast live on IMC MANUU youtube channel (www.youtube.com/imcmanuu) by Instructional Media Centre of MANUU.

Book Exhibition inaugurated at MANUU

“During the struggle for Independence, poetry played a significant role to motivate the masses to engage in the movement. There is a need to cultivate a diverse society that celebrates unity amid differences”, said Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice Chancellor, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) today after inaugurating a Book Exhibition on “Indian Freedom Struggle” being organized by Saiyid Hamid Library, MANUU to mark 77th Independence Day festivities. The library has also arranged an exhibit featuring posters highlighting the contributions of women in the Indian freedom movement. The exhibition will conclude on August 18, 2023.
Prof. Ainul Hasan recounted several historical instances from freedom movement to sensitize the students about the importance of preserving literary works of freedom fighters, particularly the writings of prominent figures like Mahatma Gandhi, Maulana Azad, Pandit Nehru, Sardar Patel, B.R. Ambedkar, Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar, Bhagat Singh, and others. He called upon the MANUU community to recommit themselves to elevate the university into a globally acclaimed institution dedicated to enhancing societal well-being.
The guest of honour, Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed, Registrar in his address said that certain books about the partition served as poignant reminders of the anguish and the significant loss of life that India endured as a nation
Dr. Akhtar Parvez, University Librarian proposed vote of thanks. Large number of faculty, staff and students were present during the inaugural.
MANUU awards PhD to Rahmat Ullah K

Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) has declared Mr. Rahmat Ullah K, S/o Mr. K Mahboob Saheb qualified in Doctor of Philosophy in Translation Studies. He worked on the topic "Dr. Hasanuddin Ahmed Ki Tarjuma Nigari ka Tahqiqi O Tanqeedi Jayeza" (Research based and Critical Review of Dr. Hasanuddin Ahmed's Translation Work) under the supervision of Prof. Mohammad Khalid Mubashir-Uz-Zafar, Department of Translation. The viva-voce was held on 27th June, 2023.
