Conference on unveiling horizons in Teacher Education held at MANUU

Hyderabad:

“4-year ITEP program has been designed to prepare teachers for the four stages; i.e., foundational, preparatory, middle and secondary as per the new school structure of NEP 2020. Students who undergo this course will be grounded in Indian values, languages, knowledge, ethos, tribal tradition and also well-versed in latest advances in education and pedagogy”, said Prof. Chand Kiran Saluja, Director, Samskrit Promotion Foundation, New Delhi in the inaugural of Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) and one day Conference “Unveiling New Horizons in Teacher Education : Prospects and Challenges” organized by School of Education and Training (SE&T), Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) yesterday. Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice Chancellor presided over.  

Prof. Saluja delved into the significance of language barriers and the Constructive Approach (NCF-2005). He emphasized the observation and recognition of the child, providing the right path for their development. He stressed the rationale behind ITEP being four years long, reminding of the four fundamental types of learning by the Delors Commission.

Prof. Ainul Hasan in his presidential address highlighted the collaborative spirit among faculty members. Prof. Ainul Hasan and Prof. Chand Kiran Saluja also planted sapling.

Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmad, Registrar highlighted the strenuous efforts dedicated to ITEP's launch. Prof. Shugufta Shaheen, OSD-I and Prof. Siddiqui Mohd. Mahmood, OSD-II also addressed on the occasion.

Prof. Shaheen Altaf Shaikh, Head, Department of Education and Training delivered welcomed address. Prof. Vanaja. M, Dean, SE&T provided an insightful overview of ITEP. Prof. Mohd. Moshahid proposed vote of thanks.

Later, a Panel Discussion was also held. Prof. Madhusudan JV, Dr. P. Shankar, Prof. Srinivasa Rao, and Prof. Ghanta Ramesh were the panelists.

Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmad delivered the valedictory address. Prof. Viquar Unnisa poposed vote of thanks in the valedictory session.

Hyderabad is a story of culture. This historic city even though is not as beautiful as Kashmir but it represents an impressive culture of love and accommodation. This city absorbed people coming from every nook and corner of the country after first war of Independence in 1857. This is the reason Hyderabad become a melting point of various traditions & languages. Eminent historian & scholar Allam Aijaz Farrukh  expressed these views yesterday at Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) while delivering the inaugural Mukarram Jah memorial lecture. Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice Chancellor presided over.

Centre for Urdu Culture Studies (CUCS) organized the lecture at IMC Preview theatre.

Mr. Farrukh spoke at length about the achievements and public welfare measures undertaken during the rule of sixth and seventh Nizams.

Prof. Ainul Hasan also praised the pluralistic Hyderabadi culture with special reference to it’s Deccani language and poetry.

Mr. Shahid Hussain Zuberi, Chief Guest shared his memories with late Mukarram Jah Bahadur who passed away recently. Philanthropist Mrs. Indira Devi Dhanrajgir also spoke online and appreciated the efforts in organizing the lecture. Prof. Aziz Bano, Dean, School of languages delivered welcome address. Prof. Shahid Naukhez, Director, CUCS was the convenor of the programme. His two books along with the latest issue of “Adab-o-Saqafat” the referred journal published by the centre was also released on the occasion.

FDP on Advanced Pedagogy provides tools and knowledge to excel  - Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed

The  program will significantly enhance teaching and learning practices, ultimately benefiting students nationwide.", said Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed, Registrar, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) yesterday in the inaugural of 2-weeks long Online Faculty Development Program (FDP) on "Advanced Pedagogy" being organized by Centre for Professional Development of Urdu Medium Teachers (CPDUMT), MANUU.  Prof. Abdul Wahid, Dean, School of Technology was the Chief Guest of the inaugural session.

 

The program designed to cater to the evolving needs of educators will conclude on October 21. It aims to empower educators with cutting-edge pedagogical techniques and strategies. More than 80 Assistant Professors of different Colleges and Universities from all over India have registered for the program.

 

Prof. Mohammed Abdul Sami Siddiqui, Director, CPDUMT presented the opening remarks. The session was moderated by Dr. Misbahul Anzar, Assistant Professor, CPDUMT, Dr. Mohd Yousuf Khan, Principal, MANUU Polytechnic Hyderabad & the Coordinator proposed vote of thanks.
