Workshop on Sensitization and Awareness held
Hyderabad:
The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Hyderabad organised a two-day workshop on October 30 & 31, 2023 to create awareness about the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act 2013, and UGC Regulations of May 2016 on POSH.
Dr. Farzana Begum, Head of Programs, My Choices Foundation introduced the Act and the UGC Regulations and explained the procedure followed by ICC. Dr Suman Roy, Psychologist, MCP Counselling Centre spoke on how to ensure a sexual harassment-free campus. During the interactive sessions participants raised concerns and shared ideas which were addressed by the Resource Persons.
Prof Gulfishaan Habeeb, Chairperson, ICC presented opening remarks, Dr. Shakera Parveen introduced the Resource Persons and Dr Shafiq Ahmed welcomed the gathering. Mrs T. Arundhati and Mrs J. Jyoti interacted with the audience.
