MANUU Celebrates Republic Day

Hyderabad:

"The real fruits of democracy can be achieved only when democracy works on the pillars of unity and equality", said Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) today after unfurling the tricolour at University campus.

 Prof. Ainul Hasan in his 75th Republic Day message while enlightening the importance of Republic Day said constitution was framed and democracy was established to give rights to every citizen. Democracy and discipline are interrelated. Democracy leads us to equality and equality to unity. Unity is very important for the development of any Nation, Organization, Institution. He advised students to stick to unity and said that only through unity we can take our university forward. Students should make the name of the university bright by achieving success and play their role in the development of the country.

The Vice-Chancellor also distributed Medals to three NCC cadets - Senior Under Officer Quazi Gulam Sarvar and Junior Under Officer Saad Sarvar for their selection for All India Trekking Expedition 2023-24 and successful completion and to Junior Under Officer Mukarram Hussain for success in Annual Training Camp. The prizes were also distributed among the winners of essay writing competitions held during Vigilance Awareness Week. Md. Zun Nurain Reza got first prize for Urdu essay writing, Masoom Ali stood first in Hindi and Shoaib Akhtar for English. Mohd. Mohtashim got first prize for Quiz competition.

Earlier, MANUU Sub-Unit NCC cadets presented guard of honour. Parade preparations were carried out under the supervision of One Telangana Artillery Battery NCC Unit officers. The Army officers - Hawaldar Chandra Mohan and Hawaldar Manjod Das were also present in the ceremony. Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed, Registrar and Prof. Mohammed Abdul Azeem, Proctor accompanied the Vice-Chancellor during the Parade.

Prof. Shugufta Shaheen, OSD-I, Prof. Siddiqui Mohd. Mahmood, OSD-II were also present.

Students presented National Anthem and patriotic songs on the occasion under the supervision of Cultural Coordinator, Mr. Meraj Ahmad.  Lieutenant Mohd. Abdul Mujeeb, Associate NCC Officer supervised the parade preparation of MANUU NCC cadets.

Prof. Mohammad Fariyad, Dean, School of MCJ convened the programme and proposed vote of thanks. Instructional Media Centre of MANUU live streamed the programme on IMC MANUU youtube channel.

The faculty members, officers, large number of students and other staff were also present.
