Refresher Course in Ecology and Environment Sciences concludes successfully at UGC-MMTTC, MANUU
Hyderabad:
Two weeks long refresher course in ecology and environment science concluded successfully at the Malaviya Mission Teachers Training Centre or the UGC-MMTTC (formerly known as UGC-HRDC) at Maulana Azad National Urdu University. The two weeks capacity building program had commenced on 16thJanuary 2024.
About 54 participants from across the country had registered for the programme. The UGC sponsored program aimed to familiarize the faculty members about the latest findings in the domain of ecology and environment sciences.
The programs consisting of 48 session involved resource persons from 12 central universities and 8 state universities. The programme covered issues related to climate change, nano-technology in the conservation of the environment, remote sensing for pollution control, solid waste management to name a few.
Delivering the valedictory address, the Director of the UGC-MMTTC, Professor Saneem Fatima said that ‘the training should help the faculty members understand the latest advances taking place in the domain of ecology and environment sciences’.
As per UGC norms, a refresher course (RC) programme is compulsory for all faculty members engaged in the profession of teaching in higher education institutions (HEIs) across the country.
