MANUU signs MoU with Abdul Haq Urdu University

 

Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) today reaffirmed its status as a premier institution of Urdu medium of education in the country by entering into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dr. Abdul Haq Urdu University (DAHUU) to promote collaborative relationship for the purpose of research and general cooperation in various academic areas.The MoU shall remain in force for a period of Three Years.

Dr. Abdul Haq Urdu University established in 2016 is situated in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh.

MoU was signed by Prof. Siddiqui Mohammed Mahmood, Registrar I/c MANUU &Prof. B Srinivasulu, Registrar, DAHUUin the presence of Prof. S.M. Rahmatullah, Vice Chancellor I/c, MANUU and Prof. Muzaffar Shahmeeri, Vice-Chancellor, DAHUU. Both sides agreed to promote cooperation in various disciplines using available facilities, resources and expertise.

MANUU and DAHUU has decided to jointly extend cooperation and support in the field of humanities, culture, Arabic and Urdu language & literature, Management, Islamic Studies, education, technology etc. apart from organizing seminars, conferences as well as mutual exchanges of students/faculty.

Prof. Rahmatullah in his address emphasized on developing a mechanism to monitor the proper implementation of the MoU. The main reason for the MoU is the relationship of both the universities with Urdu language, he added.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Muzaffar Shahmeeri expressed his pleasure over the MoU and described MANUU as an elder brother of “Urdu family” and it is obvious that a fledging institution of Urdu like Dr. Abdul Haq Urdu University expects fullest cooperation & guidance from MANUU.

Prof. Siddiqui Mohammed Mahmood, &Prof. B Srinivasulu also addressed the occasion. Prof. Saneem Fatima, Convenor MoU Committee, & Dean, Academics welcomed the guests and proposed vote of thanks whereas Prof. Mohd. Naseemuddin Farees, Dean, School of Languages conducted the proceedings. Mr. M G. Gunasekaran, Finance officer MANUU, Dr. S Para Brahmaiah, former F.O., Mr. Mohd. Irfan, I/c Principal and Dr. Shafi Iqlas, Controller Examination, from DAHUU were also present on the occasion.
