Workshop on MOOCs preparation inaugurated
Hyderabad:
A three day online workshop on developing MOOCs (Massive open online course) for Urdu medium and Madarsa Teachers was inaugurated today at IMC preview theatre. Centre for Professional Development of Urdu Medium Teachers (CPDUMT) of Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is conducting the workshop from March 9 to 11.
Prof. S M Rahmatullah, Vice-Chancellor I/cwhile inaugurating said that now a days emphasis is being laid on interdisciplinary education and it is being developed rapidly through MOOCs. Teachers of Urdu medium and Madarsa schools should also make use of it.
The guest of honour, Prof. Siddiqui Mohd. Mahmood, Registrar I/c explained that MOOCs has an international reach that can benefit both teachers and students.
Prof. Mohammed Abdul Sami Siddiqui, Director, Centre, delivered welcome address and informed that more than 700 teachers are participating online in this workshop.Mr. Misbah Anzar, Assistant Professor, Centre convened the programme. In the first technical session, Prof. Saneem Fatima, Dean, Academics gave introduction of MOOCs and answered the questions of the participants.
