MANUU pays rich tributes to Dr. Junaid Zakir

Hyderabad:

Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) paid rich tributes to Dr. Mohd. Junaid Zakir, Assistant Professor, Department of Translation in a condolence meeting held yesterday evening at the university. Dr. Junaid Zakir passed away last Friday at the age of 61 years. He was also served as the President of MANUU Teachers Association (MANUUTA) for four tenure. The meeting was jointly organized by MANUU & MANUUTA

Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice Chancellor expressed deep condolences to bereaved family members and said Junaid Zakir will always be remembered by MANUU for his good deeds and his willingness for solving problems of others. The Vice-Chancellor also read out a condolence resolution. Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed, Registrar, Mr. Mohd. Moeed Ather, brother of Dr. Junaid Zakir and his son Omaid Asir also attended the meeting.

Dr. Junaid Zakir joined MANUU on April 13, 2007. He was elected President of MANUU Teachers Association for four times, which is a record in itself. He always took the lead in representing and resolving the problems of teachers, students and other staff members of the university. Dr. Junaid Zakir was also elected as Joint Secretary of Federation of Central Universities Teachers’ Association in December 2016. His book “Istehali Mutala (Terminology studies)” was awarded by the Telangana State Urdu Academy in February 2017.

Dr. Bonthu Kotaiah, President, MANUUT welcomed the gathering and paid the rich tributes to departed colleague.

Prof. Mohd Khalid Mubashir-uz-Zafar, Prof. Siddiqui Mohd. Mahmood, Prof. Syed Alim Ashraf, Dr. Mustafa Ali Sarwari, Dr. Syed Mahmood Kazmi, Dr. Faheemuddin Ahmed and Dr. Kahkashan Latif also expressed their condolences by recalling his punctuality, honesty, love for Urdu and his commitment towards safeguarding the mandate of the MANUU.

Prof. P F Rahman, Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Abdul Haq Urdu University, AP also send his condolence message to his family & MANUU fraternity. Prof. S M Rahmatullah, former PVC also conveyed condolences online. Large number of MANUU fraternity from on & off-campuses joined the meeting on & offline.

 

 MANUU distance courses - Registration for backlog papers

Hyderabad:

The Directorate of Distance Education (DDE), Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) has opened fee payment portal for re-admission (previously called as re-registration fee) fee portal for backlog papers of courses of 2005-06 onwards.

 According to Prof. Mohd. Razaullah Khan, Director, DDE, portal will remain open for backlog papers of UG, PG, Diploma & Certificate courses from September 28 to October 31, 2022.

Students are hereby informed that they have to pay the fee online and submit the re-admission form by hand at respective learner support centre. For details please visit website mannu.edu.in or contact Regional Centres, Sub-Regional Centres and Learners Supports Centres.

 

MANUU ITI Hyderabad,  3rd phase admission counselling

Hyderabad:

The Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Hyderabad, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is conducting third phase admission counseling for ITI Trades on September 30, 2022. The counseling will start at 9.30 am at ITI, MANUU Campus, Gachibowli.

According to Dr. Arshia Azam, Principal, the last date for submission of filled in application form at MANUU ITI Hyderabad is September 28. Application form can be obtained from MANUU - ITI Hyderabad or can be downloaded from University website www.manuu.edu.in.
