MANUU extends last date of distance admissions

Hyderabad:

Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) has extended the last date for submission of online application for admission into distance mode programmes (September 2022 session) to November 10, 2022. Earlier the last date was October 20.

According to Prof. Mohd. Razaullah Khan, Director,Directorate of Distance Education, the date has been extended as per the decision of UGC.

Interested candidates can now register online upto November 10 and the last date for payment of admission fee is November 15, 2022.

Admissions are available in UGC approved M.A. (Urdu, English, Islamic Studies, Arabic, Hindi & History), B.A., B.Com., Diploma courses (Teach English and Journalism & Mass Communication) and Certificate courses (Proficiency in Urdu through English & Functional English). Students  can also enroll themselves simultaneously in any two programmes as per guidelines of UGC.

National Best Librarian Award to Dr. Akhtar Parvez, MANUU Librarian

Hyderabad:

Dr. Akhtar Parvez, Librarian, Saiyid Hamid Library, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU)received prestigious ‘SALIS-Dr. Harish Chandra-Sushila Chandra National Best Librarian Award’ for the year 2020 for his achievements, outstanding contributions, and services to the library & information science profession.

 

The Award was presented to him by the Society for the Advancement of Library and Information Science (SALIS), Coimbatore on October 15, 2022during the Raja Rammohun Roy Library Foundation, Ministry of Culture, Government of India (RRRLF) sponsoredNational Conference “Transformation of Learning Resource Centres in the Digital Era” held at the K.S. Rangaswamy College of Technology, Tamil Nadu.

 

The conference held on October 13-15 was attended by more than 200 library professionals from across the country. 

 

Jameel Ahamed awarded Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering

Hyderabad:

Mr. Jameel Ahamed, Assistant Professor, Department of CS&IT, MANUU is awarded Ph.D. in Faculty of Engineering by National Institute of Technology (NIT), Srinagar. He has submitted the thesis on the topic "Semantic Interoperability and Predictive Analytics in the Internet of Things for Smart Healthcare"under the joint supervision of Prof. Roohi Naaz Mir and Dr. Mohammad Ahsan Chishti. His Viva-Voce was conducted on 01-10-2022.
