MANUU felicitates Youth Festival Winners

 

Hyderabad:

Our dreams are being fulfilled. There is no dearth of talent among our students, it is only needed to be nurtured with suitable activities.  A platform will be provided to potential students so that their overall development is ensured. These views were expressed by Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) in a felicitation ceremony organized yesterday evening in honour of winners of South East Zone Youth Festival. Association of Indian Universities organized the festival from January 27 to 31 at Gulbarga University, Karnataka. MANUU quiz team won the second prize while mime team and in photography section, University student  won the fifth prize.

Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed, Registrar also congratulated the winners and emphasized the need to continue the good work. Prof. Syed Alim Ashraf Jaisi, Dean Students’ Welfare delivered  welcome address.

The quiz team comprised of Alia Nida (B.Tech, Computer Science), Mohammad Naseem Ansari (M.Ed.) and Gulnaz Parveen (M.Ed.). Danish Raza got prize for photography whereas Mohammad Faheem, Mohammad Nafees Alam, Mohammad Shahzan, Husna Parveen, Alam Khan and Abrar Ahmed were part of for Mime team . Dr. Adnan Bismillah and Ms. Nasreen Ahmed were team incharge.

Dr. Meraj Ahmed, Cultural Coordinator said that MANUU first time participated in program at zonal level tasted success. University will be in the national level competition at Jain University, Bangalore scheduled from February 24 to 28, he informed.

Students of 38 universities from different states participated in the festival. MANUU was the only university that represented Telangana state. Various activities like quiz, debate, elocution, music, theater and drama, rangoli, poster making, mehndi design, spot photography etc. were part of the Youth Festival.
