New Office Bearers of MEWA elected
Hyderabad:
Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Employees Welfare Association’s (MEWA) elections were held on January 16 and counting held today. Mewa represents non-teaching cadre of MANUU upto Section Officer grade.
Mr. Shaik Naveed has been elected as President. This is his fourth term and second in a row as President.
According to Prof. Mohammed Abdul Azeem, Returning Officer, MEWA Elections 2023 other elected office bearers include Mr. Badavath Bikshapathi (Vice-President); Mr. Mohd Shawnavaz Ali Qureshi (General Secretary); Mr. M.A. Nawaz (Joint Secretary); Mr. Dharamjeet Kumar (Secretary); Mr. Syed Yousuf Razvi (Organizing Secretary) and; Mr. Razzak Shareef (Treasurer). Mr. Syed Ghouse, Mr. Mohd. Javed and Mr. M A Khayyum Baba are elected as the members.
Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor and Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed, Registrar have congratulated the newly elected office bearers. Dr. Shabana Kesar, Dr. Muqeem Ahmed and Mr. Mohammed Omer were election officers.
Invited lecture by Prof. Rafiq Hussain Siddiqui held at MANUU

Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), School of Sciences, Chemistry section organized an invited lecture by Prof. Mohammad Rafiq Hussain Siddiqui, Department of Chemistry, University of Liverpool, United Kingdom on “Chemical Industry, Problems, and Solutions” on February 16, 2023.
Prof. Rafiq Hussain Siddiqui is known as “Man of Catalysis” and has international collaborations with experts around the world. He worked on Catalysis for Environment, Industries, Basic research and for Advanced Materials including Nanoparticles.
Detailing about different types of catalysis used in industries, Prof. Rafiq spoke about the industrial applications of the catalysis and how to work on it in a laboratory with meager research facilities. In future catalysis branch of chemistry has a vast scope and change the life of human beings through new techniques such as nano-catalyst, he predicted .
Prof. Salman Ahmad Khan, Dean, School of Sciences gave introduction of the guest speaker and said that the valuable suggestions given by Prof. Rafiq Siddiqui through his lecture will act as a catalyst for ongoing research at MANUU. The Assistant Professors of Chemistry section - Dr. Alimuddin convened the lecture and Dr. Qasimullah proposed the vote of thanks.
Later, Prof. Rafiq Hussain Siddiqui also called on the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan and discussed about Urdu University progress in various academic fields.
E Content Production workshop by IMC MANUU
Hyderabad:
Instructional Media Centre (IMC), Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is organising a workshop on e-content production techniques from February 20 to 27, 2023 for faculty members. Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor will preside over the inaugural session and Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed, Registrar will also address.
According to Mr Rizwan Ahamd, Director, IMC, the workshop is designed to help participants improve their content creation skills and develop a better understanding of the e-content landscape.
In view of changing educational world and growing digital academic space, every educationist has to participate sooner or later on digital platforms. Even Education ministry is now focusing and promoting digital platforms which is one of the focus area of NEP2020, he added.
