MANUU offers UG admissions through CUET

Hyderabad:

Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is offering admissions in Undergraduate regular courses through Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2023 for academic session 2023-24. The last date for online registration and submission of application form is March 12, 2023.

According to Prof. M. Vanaja, Director, Directorate of Admissions, the UG courses available are B.A. (General & JMC), B.Com., B.Sc.  (MPC, MPCS, ZBC) with Honors and Research along with B.Voc. (MIT & MLT). MANUU is launching four year UG Hons./Research programme from the current academic year 2023-24 in multidisciplinary mode with multiple entry/exit as per NEP-2020.

Online application is available on cuet.samarth.ac.in. Prospectus can be accessed on University website www.manuu.edu.in. .

Meanwhile, MANUU will notify the admissions of regular PG, B.Tech, B.Ed., Diploma in Engineering, D.El.Ed, all certificate and research programmes separately.

 

MANUU bags first prize in Telangana Garden Festival

Hyderabad:

Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) bagged first prize for maintaining greenery in the 7th Garden Festival & 1st Urban Farming Festival organized by the Department of Horticulture, Government of Telangana (GoT) in the month of January. The communication was received recently from the Deputy Director Technical, Government Gardens, GoT informing the selection.

According to Mr. S Nageswara Reddy, Executive Engineer, MANUU the delegation from the Horticulture Department visited the campus on January 23, 2023 for inspecting the engagements of the institution in the development of greenery and landscape. MANUU has applied for this award under the category VIII  “Gardens maintained by Educational Institutions”.

Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor, MANUU lauded the initiative taken by the Government of Telangana to encourage educational institutions to develop greenery in their campuses. While emphasizing on the importance of clean and green environment, Prof. Hasan also appreciated the efforts taken by the engineering section specially horticulture section of the university in maintaining greenery in the campus.

Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed, Registrar, congratulated MANUU fraternity for this achievement and advised to make the environment healthy by maintaining greenery and eco-friendly campus.

 

Retrospective on Hindi Classic Films screened by MANUU Film Club

Hyderabad: 

The University Film Club at Maulana Azad National Urdu University recently organized a film festival “Retro Hindi Cinema” showcasing the most iconic Hindi films of all time such as  “Mother India,” “Naya Daur,” “Sholay,” “Masoom,” and “Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro”. The festival was held from February 27 to March 3, 2023 under the aegis of Prof. Syed Alim Ashraf Jaisi, Dean, Student Welfare.

Dr. Meraj Ahmed Mubarki, Assistant Professor (MCJ) & President of University Film Club shared his insights on the cinematic elements and themes of  screened movies providing a deeper understanding of the art and craft of Hindi cinema during the festival. 

The festival was a great opportunity for film lovers to experience the charm of the old classics on the big screen. The festival also provided a platform for the younger generation to learn about the rich legacy of Hindi cinema and its evolution over time. 

‘The intention was to connect the cinema of yesterday with the audiences of today and the festival was a testament to the enduring appeal of Hindi cinema and its impact on popular culture’, said Dr. Mubarki.
