Profile of Dr. Mohd Shakeel

Dr. Mohammad Shakeel completed both his undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at the University of Jammu, where he also qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) in Education in 2005. In 2006, he joined Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), and since then, he has accumulated an impressive 19 years of teaching experience.

He is currently serving as the Principal, College of Teacher Education, Srinagar, School of Education and Training, Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Hyderabad. In this esteemed capacity, Dr. Shakeel has made a significant impact on the field of teacher education through his leadership, academic excellence, and unwavering commitment to quality education.

Dr. Shakeel’s dedication to research and the dissemination of knowledge is clearly reflected in his academic contributions. He is the author of six books and has published over 15 research papers in reputed national and international journals. His scholarly work continues to influence curriculum development, pedagogical practices, and policy dialogue in the education sector.

In addition to his academic responsibilities, Dr. Shakeel has held key positions in various academic and administrative bodies at the national level. Notably, he served as a Member of the Academic and Executive Council of Maulana Azad National Urdu University from December 2021 to January 2023. His contributions in these roles have helped shape the academic vision and administrative framework of the university.

Dr. Shakeel remains actively involved in initiatives that promote educational reform, faculty development, and student-centric learning. His professional journey is a testament to his passion for education, intellectual rigor, and dedication to nation-building through teacher education.
