Profile of Nagendra Kottacheruvu

Prof. Kottacheruvu Nagendra serves as Professor & Head, Department of English, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), Hyderabad. He holds a Ph.D. in English, M.A. in English, B.A. in English from S.V. University, along with an M.Phil.(EFLU), PGDTE (EFLU), and B.Ed. in English from Rayalaseema University. With over 18 years of academic experience, he has taught at reputed universities and institutions, combining expertise in English Language Teaching, Linguistics & Phonetics, Communicative English, English Literature and Digital Pedagogy.

Prof. Nagendra has authored/edited 8 books, published more than forty research papers in UGC Care, Scopus, and Web of Science indexed journals, and contributed 11 book chapters. His research includes a patent publication, and he has presented over 26 papers at national and international conferences. He has successfully supervised six Ph.D. scholars and one M.Phil. scholar.

In addition to teaching and research, he has played key academic and administrative roles including Chairman of the Board of Studies and Research Committees, and Member of the Academic Council. He is a Cambridge Certified Speaking Examiner (BEC), has qualified APSET and Faculty Eligibility Test (FET), and received several performance awards.

A life member of ELTAI and ISTE, he is regularly invited as a resource person for FDPs, workshops, and conferences across India, contributing to teacher training, curriculum development, and integration of AI in English Language Teaching.
