Profile of Mr. Mohammed Mujahid Ali

Mohammed Mujahid Ali is presently working as Producer-I at Instructional Media Centre, MANUU, he was Incharge Instructional Media Centre from 11 th January 2016 to 29 th December 2016. He was entrusted with the duties of Director as and when Director proceeds on tour or leave. Competent Authority has assigned the additional charge of Assistant Director, Physical Education and Sport, MANUU since January 2018. He worked as Warden Boys Hostel–I from 2 nd August 2017 – 24th January 2018. He also worked as Incharge Internal Audit Officer, MANUU from 31.01.2019 –10.05.2019. Equipped with triple disciplined Master degree’s in Mass Communication and Journalism, Public Personal Management and Urdu Literature, pursuing Ph.D. from Osmania University.

Mohammed Mujahid Ali has 25 years of work experience in the field of electronic media with special emphasis on Television Production. He produced hundreds of thousands of programmes which were telecast over National & Regional Networks of Doordarshan. Mujahid started his career from the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting during 1994 at Doordarshan Hyderabad. He was entrusted with Urdu News and programme production. He has independently produced Urdu, English, Telugu and Kashmiri News bulletins apart from constituency profiles of Parliamentary and Assemblyelections held during 1994 and 2007. He also worked for live productions of Independence day and Republic day parades, International and National Film festivals, Children Film Festivals, Afro-Asian games, convocations of MANUU, Mushaira’s, Kavi Sammelans, Aids awareness programmes etc.

The Govt. of A.P. Felicitated and issued appreciation letter on successful completion of 200 episodes of Dial your Chief Minister programme on the occasion of 56th Independence day, during 2003. Mujahid Ali joined MANUU during 2007 and produced educational programmes, documentaries, interviews of eminent laureates of Urdu language, literature and Culture. He was Member Syllabus Committee and Guest Faculty (2006-2008) for the course of PG Diploma in Mass Communication and Translation Techniques in Urdu offered by Central University of Hyderabad. He has presented a research paper on “Production of Educational Programmes in Urdu Medium – Some Challenges” in a National Seminar on “Open Distance Learning – Learner’s Support Services – Role of Media” organised by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Hyderabad.

He was deputed to department of Mass Communication and Journalism (MANUU) to take classes for the course of P.G. Diploma during 2012-2013 in additional to his normal duties at Instructional Media Centre. He was Academic Counsellor for the course Diploma in Mass Communication and Journalism offered by MANUU at Siasat Study Centre since 2010 - 2014. He was coordinator for the five days Workshop on Script Writing for Audio/Video programmes and six days Technical Workshop on Lighting, Camera Techniques & Sound organised by IMC, MANUU during 2007 & 2018 respectively.

His biographical documentary films “Shaad–Ek Anmol Ratan” and Mahir-e-Deccaniyat “Mohiuddin Quadri Zore” were short listed, Nominated and screened at National Academy of Cinema and Television at Bangalore during 2013-14. His film on Prof. U.R. Rao has also been Nominated for the 9th National Science Film Festival of India at Chandigarh during 2019.
