Profile of Mr. Md Aamir Badr

Md Aamir Badr joined IMC, MANUU as a Producer-1 on 22 nd , June 2017. He has over 10 years of experience in the Radio, TV and Public Relations in Govt. Media Houses. He attended Lalit Narayan Mithila University, in Darbhanga, Bihar, where he graduated in Account (H) in 2008. He went on to complete a master’s degree in Mass Communication and Journalism at Dept. of MCJ, MANUU, Hyderabad. Later he earned M Phil in Translation Studies in 2013 after submission of his research work on “Journalistic Translation and contribution of UNI Urdu”. He has also cleared National Eligibility Test in Mass Communication & Journalism in 2012.

He has worked in different organizations i.e, worked as an RJ and Compere in All India Radio, Darbhanga from 2004-2008, as a News Reader (Urdu) in DD Saprtagiri, Hyderabad between 2010-12 and as a Producer in E tv Urdu in 2011. He qualified Indian Information Service (through all India competition) in 2012 and got first posting in Press Information Bureau, Ministry of I&B, Govt. of India (Urdu Unit) for a period of one year later he was transferred to DD News, Delhi in 2014.

During his tenure in Doordarshan News(Delhi), he worked on different assignment and position i.e, News Editor (Hindi), In-charge DD News Urdu Desk, In-charge RNU, Hisar, Haryana (News Head). Including his desk job, he has travelled with Hon’ble President of India convoy to different places in India to cover the Hon’ble President’s events.
He has worked as a team member to organize National Photography Award Ceremony and workshop on still photography and videography organized by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, GoI.

He has successfully attended and passed Vani Certificate Programme by Prasar Bharti and Communication and Journalism Course (for IIS Probationers) by Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi.He was offered International Scholarship and was shortlisted for one year Programme in Turkish Language and Media in 2012.
He has produced dozens of educational programme and short informative videos, documentaries to cater the need of Urdu knowing population worldwide.

One of his short film was shortlisted for the screening in competitive category for the Global Film Festival, Siliguri- 2019, Organized by FILM FEDRATION OF INDIA (an apex body of Film in India).
